UPDATED: Woman's body found along Cave Road in Paint Township identified

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports on Sunday afternoon, June 21 that the body of the woman found on June 20 at approximately 7 p.m. on Cave Road in Paint Township has been identified as 26-year old Tiffany Sayre, who was reported missing from Chillicothe on May 11, 2015. 

The autopsy results have not been released.

A caller had advised the Highland County Sheriff's Dispatch Center that while the caller and another were walking along Cave Road, the caller observed a female body in a creek bed, according to Sheriff Barrera. 

Sheriff Barrera advises that Ross County Sheriff Lavender and Chillicothe Police Chief Washburn will be holding a press conference on June 22 to inform the community of the progress of the investigation.

As earlier reported, Sheriff Barrera said that on June 20, 2015, at approximately 7 p.m., the Highland County Sheriff's Office received a call from the eastern part of the county.

Barrera reported that the caller advised that while the caller and another were walking along the road, the caller observed a female body in a creek bed on Cave Road, in Paint Township.

Highland County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and located the female body in the creek bed. Highland County Sheriff's detectives, BCI&I, the county coroner and the county prosecutor were called to the scene. Ross County Sheriff's deputies assisted.

Sheriff Donnie Barrera advises that the Highland County Coroner had the body sent to the Montgomery County Morgue for identification.

The matter is still under investigation.
