UPDATED: New city limit sign posted - and removed

Motorists approaching Hillsboro from North High Street (U.S. 62) are greeted with a new sign at the city limits.

The sign – with skull and crossbones – reads: "The citizens of Hillsboro warn you. If you sell drugs here, we will put you away. This means you."

City of Hillsboro employees put up the sign by order of the administration.

• The Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 informed The Highland County Press on June 25 that this sign has been removed from the location due to its obvious sight obstruction (which any sensible public official should have known prior to its placement).
