United Producers, Inc. Commercial Cattle Show highlights industry excellence at Ohio State Fair
United Producers, Inc. (UPI), the Midwest’s largest livestock marketing cooperative, recently hosted the annual Commercial Cattle Show at the Ohio State Fair on Saturday, July 26. The event continues to grow, and this year’s show had 33 pens entered, representing nearly 100 head of cattle.
“The Commercial Cattle Show provides a unique opportunity for junior and open producers to exhibit their commercial cattle in both live evaluation and carcass merit, showcasing the full value of their breeding and management decisions. Plus, it’s a fantastic way for those who aren’t involved in the show cattle world to experience a fun event at the state fair,” said Jake Osborn, VP of Livestock Marketing at United Producers.
UPI recognizes that the success of the Commercial Cattle Show would not be possible without the generous support of its sponsors. Heartland Feeds served as a Silver-level sponsor for this year’s event. Bronze-level sponsors included Crystalyx, Four Star Veterinary Service, and The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. UPI also extends its sincere appreciation to Cornerstone Veterinary Service, Ohio Ag Net, and LiveAg for their valued support.
UPI serves 30,000 members in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Tennessee, handling approximately 2.7 million head of livestock per year. UPI also offers risk management services, including marketing agreements and brokerage services; and offers competitive agricultural lending products for real estate, farm, operating, and livestock financing.
