Two killed, one injured in SR 73 crash
Two people were killed and one other was injured in a one-vehicle crash Saturday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, on state Route 73 south in Washington Township.
According to the post, at approximately 10:22 p.m., a red 2000 Ford F-150 was traveling southeast on state Route 73 when it allegedly failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway, and struck several trees.
The truck was occupied by Albert Schober Jr., 21, of Goshen; Troy Phillips, 26, of Felicity; and Tiffany Walters, 19, of LaFollette, Tenn.
It has not yet been determined who was driving the vehicle.
Schober was transported to Highland District Hospital and was later flown to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Phillips and Walters were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Highland County Coroner's Office.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
