Twelve Highland County townships awarded grants

Twelve Highland County townships were recently awarded by the Managing Ohio Risk Exposures (MORE) Grant Program offered to members of the Ohio Township Association Risk Management Authority (OTARMA).

The MORE Grant program offers up to $500 per township for the purpose of assisting OTARMA members in eliminating or preventing risk exposures that can lead to liability and property claims.

Awarded grant application requests in Highland County include:

• Two-way radios for dump trucks;

• Road signs;

• Emergency exit lighting;

• Re-striping center, edge and stop lines;

• Road signs;

• Two amber light bars for plow truck;

• Reflective signs, cones and vests;

• Delineators to mark culvert ends; and

• Safety lights for tractors.

Highland County townships are dedicated to the safety of their residents and fiscal stewardship of public funds. The Highland County townships are all appreciative of the availability of the MORE Grant. The grant has helped offset costs, increasing the amount of monies available for road maintenance.
