Three arrested following heroin trafficking investigation

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports that The U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force ended a six-month investigation into heroin trafficking in the Greenfield area, with the arrest of three persons.
Sheriff Barrera advises that the Highland County Sheriff's Office and the Ross County Sheriff's Office are members of The U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force, along with other agencies, including the Ohio Organized Crime Commission.
According to Sheriff Barrera, over 45 suspects have been charged over the past few months as a result. The three arrested on December 2 were:
• Jeffrey Coleman of Greenfield was charged in a 29-count indictment, which included Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, Trafficking in Heroin, Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Drugs.
• Jevonna Coleman of Greenfield was charged in a 24-count indictment, which included Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, Trafficking in Heroin, Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Drugs.
• Lawrence E. Wheaton of Greenfield was charged in an 11-count indictment, which included Trafficking in Heroin, Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Drugs.
