Terry Fouch named interim superintendent at Bright Local

At their Dec. 22 special board meeting, the Bright Local Schools Board of Education selected their interim superintendent.
The Board voted unanimously to select Terry Fouch as Superintendent, effective March 1, 2015.
In order to provide for a smooth transition, Mr. Fouch will begin working in the district several days during January and February.
Mr. Fouch will succeed Superintendent Dee Wright who has served as Bright Local Schools superintendent since August 2002 and she has been employed by the district for 30 years.

Bright Board President Steve Cox stated, “We are extremely excited to have someone with the experience Mr. Fouch has accept our interim superintendent’s position. His references indicate that he is hard-working, knowledgeable and dedicated. The board knows that he will work to make a difference in the lives of our students.”
“I look forward to the opportunity to work with the staff members in the best interest of the children of Bright Local Schools,” stated Mr. Fouch.
Currently, Mr. Fouch is teaching graduate level administration classes to aspiring educational leaders at Xavier University.
Prior to working at Xavier University he served as superintendent of Greenfield Exempted Village Schools for eight years.
Mr. Fouch has also been employed by the Ohio Department of Education where he mentored beginning administrators and he was the Personnel Director for Adams County/Ohio Valley Local Schools.
Mr. Fouch was also employed by East Clinton Local Schools where he served as teacher, athletic director, administrator and superintendent. Mr. Fouch has over 40 total years of educational experience with 13 years of experience as superintendent. Mr. Fouch obtained his bachelor’s degree from Capital University and his Master’s degree in educational administration from Xavier University.
