TEA Party hosts Democratic candidates for mayor

The Highland County TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party hosted Democratic candidates for mayor of Hillsboro Pam Limes and Steve Williams Monday, March 16 at the Hi-TEC Center in Hillsboro.

Limes and Williams are running in the Tuesday, May 5 primary election.

According to the TEA Party, Limes characterizes her campaign as "focused on community – not politics."

Among her issues are the city's drug problem, safety, infrastructure for growth and the use of state/local/regional programs for opportunities.

According to the TEA Party, Williams wants "reduced city government spending and economic opportunity through job creation by marketing Hillsboro to mainstream America."

Candidates discussed their respective campaigns and ideas during the Monday evening session, followed by questions from TEA Party members and others in attendance.
