Swearing in ceremony Dec. 29

There will be an oath of office ceremony held on Dec. 29 at the Municipal Courtroom, located at 130 Homestead Avenue in Hillsboro.
    The following Hillsboro City Council members will be taking the oath:  Peter Pence, Ward 1; Mary Brown Turner, Ward 3; William Alexander, Ward 4; and Bonnie Parr, at-large. Also taking the oath is Robert Storer for city of Hillsboro treasurer.
    The oath will be administered at 11:30 a.m. on the 29th with a
reception following.
    Finger foods will be served, compliments of the Highland County Democrat Party.
