Strong storm knocks out power; damages property in Hillsboro

A severe thunderstorm passed through Highland County Tuesday afternoon, causing several area power outages.

The thunderstorm also caused property damage and flash flooding in low-lying areas.

An oak tree came down off Greystone Drive and crashed into a residence in the 100 block.

High water slowed traffic on Chillicothe Avenue near the old roadside rest area just east of town.
