Street work under way in uptown Hillsboro

The city of Hillsboro will be working at the intersection of High and Main streets beginning this week.

Previously installed brick pavers that were to outline the crosswalks will be removed in preparation for this year’s street striping and a paving project that will be performed by ODOT next year. Expect lane closures and delays as the Public Works Department and a local contractor work to make improvements to this intersection.

The lane closures are expected to be from 8 a.m. to dusk and could last for up to two weeks.

Workers are shown on North High Street Tuesday morning.
