State Rep. Green applauds passage of legislation recognizing police officers and first responders

State Representative Doug Green (R-Mt. Orab) applauded the House’s passage of House Bill 244.

This legislation works to honor those individuals who have served in the armed forces and as police officers or other first responders by designating Nov. 10 as “Armed Services, Peace Officer, First Responder and Dual Service Recognition Day.”
 

[[In-content Ad]]“We simply cannot recognize our service men and women enough for all that they do,” Green said. “They have dedicated their lives to protecting our country and our future. This is just one more way to honor their service.”
 
The bill, joint-sponsored by Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) and State Representative Terry Johnson (R-McDermott), recognizes those who have sacrificed for their communities and their country by serving in the military and/or as police officers or first responders.
 
The bill passed unanimously on the House floor and now heads to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
