Shooting case bound over to grand jury

The case of a Hillsboro man charged with shooting another man in the face has been bound over for consideration by a grand jury in Highland County Common Pleas Court. 
Jimmie Jacobs, 64, was charged with second-degree felony felonious assault following the Dec. 15 shooting at J and J automotive, which left 28-year-old Jonanathan Harris, of Hillsboro, in critical condition.
According to the Hillsboro Police Department, a 911 call reporting a shooting called officers to 60 Belfast Pike Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. Officers found that Harris had been shot in the face, and began processing the crime scene. HPD Chief Nick Thompson said that the even remains under investigation as they continue with interviews and analysis of evidence. 
Jacobs appeared Thursday in Hillsboro Municipal Court for a preliminary hearing, where the case was bound over to the grand jury, and bond conditions, which had been set at $75,000, were continued. 
He was represented by attorney Christopher R. Mcdowell.
