The Clinton Council Sheriff's Office is investigating an alleged shooting in the area of Bernard Road in New Vienna Friday.

According to Col. Brian Prickett of the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, "We received a call of a home invasion and the subject reported that he had been shot as a result of a struggle."

When asked if the subject who reported the call was the homeowner, Prickett said it was not, and that more information was not immediately available because, "it just happened two hours ago."

Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward told The Highland County Press that the Highland County Sheriff's Office was called for mutual assistance shortly after 1 p.m. at the Bernard Road crime scene, near Highland County line.

Officers were looking for a vehicle with two suspects, he said.
