COLUMBUS — State Senator Joe Uecker (R-Clermont County) this week announced the state's approval of funds for a new addiction recovery center that will serve residents in Adams, Lawrence and Scioto counties.

"These services will help those seeking treatment in our community, getting them the support they so desperately need," said Uecker. "This treatment facility is another positive step in addressing the bigger drug problem facing our community."

Compass Point Housing, Inc. is committed to providing addiction recovery services at the new facility, located in Bentonville, Ohio, over the next 30 years. The State Controlling Board on Monday approved $80,000 toward the purchase of an eight-person recovery treatment facility serving Adams, Lawrence and Scioto counties. Compass Point Housing will provide the remaining project funds.

Compass Point Housing is a partnering agency with Compass Community Health and The Counseling Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Senator Uecker represents the 14th District in the Ohio Senate, which encompasses all of Adams, Brown, Clermont, and Scioto counties as well as a portion of Lawrence county. Learn more at www.OhioSenate.gov/Uecker.
