Scenes from the 2024 Festival of the Bells Pet Parade

Merchants National Bank sponsored the annual Festival of the Bells Pet Parade Saturday morning, July 6 at Crossroads Park in Hillsboro.

This year’s entrants included dogs, rabbits, a hermit crab, a miniature horse and even an emu. Categories included most unique, most patriotic, most lookalike, sports fans and anything goes.

Fun activities are continuing throughout the day at the festival, with concerts rounding out the activities Saturday night. Country artist Lecade will perform at 7:30 p.m., followed by the annual auction at 8:15 p.m. before headliner Tyler Braden sings at 9 p.m.
