Highland County commissioners proclaimed April as Cleanup, Fixup and Pickup Month for the Rocky Fork Lake area, as requested by the Rocky Fork Lake Community Alliance, Paint Township Trustees, the Home Owners Associations and ODNR.

The Rocky Fork Lake Community Alliance is a non-profit organization established by concerned Rocky Fork Lake area residents to assist with improvements of the area in cooperation with county officials and township trustees.

"We encourage Rocky Fork homeowners to get involved," said alliance member Dan Cowdrey.

The alliance has identified the following projects as areas to address: clean up abandoned junk and properties, encourage business expansion and evaluate public services for future growth.

The motto for April Cleanup Month is “Don’t pass it up, pick it up!”

The cleanup efforts will be the last three Saturdays of April and conclude with an April 28 cookout. Contact Paint Township trustees for additional information.
