Public hearings set for Aug. 4, Aug. 18 on county's conveyance standards

Highland County Auditor Bill Fawley has announced that the auditor and County Engineer Dean Otworth will hold public hearings for modifications to the county's conveyance standards.
The public hearings will be 1 p.m. Aug. 4 and 1 p.m. Aug. 18 in the Highland County Administration Building basement meeting room.
The proposed changes are available at the engineer's office, 138 Bowers Ave., the auditor's office, 119 Governor Foraker Pl., and online at http://www.highlandcountyauditor.org/Forms/Highland%20County%20Conveyance%20Standards.pdf
Written comments may be submitted to the auditor and/or engineer prior to the second public hearing on Aug. 18.
Pursuant to Section 319.203 of the Ohio Revised Code, the auditor and engineer, agreed to the following standards governing the conveyances of real property in Highland County (see: http://www.highlandcountyauditor.org/Forms/Highland%20County%20Conveyance%20Standards.pdf) on April 6, 2015.
In accordance with Section 319.203 of the Ohio Revised Code, public hearings were held on the adoption of such standards Feb. 12, 2015 and Feb. 26, 2015 and public testimony and written comments were solicited and received at such public hearings.
The official standards shall be effective for all conveyances presented to the Highland County Auditor and Highland County Engineer on and after April 6, 2015.
