Protests expected for State of the State

Public-sector union workers are expected to continue their ongoing protests in Columbus today during Ohio Gov. John Kasich's State of the State address.
The governor is set to deliver his first major address at noon today.
State lawmakers, justices, statewide officials and members of the governor's Cabinet will be attending.
Ohio's 86th House District Rep. Cliff Rosenberger told The Highland County Press this week that he will be in attendance, along with Highland County Commissioners Tom Horst and Shane Wilkin. When asked why he didn't invite Commissioner Jeremy Shaffer, Rosenberger explained that he was given two tickets for guests and invited the commissioners with the most seniority.
Members of public-sector unions angered over Senate Bill 5, the collective bargaining reform bill, have scheduled a rally to begin 30 minutes before the governor's speech.
Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) announced Monday that he will be hosting in-district town hall meetings throughout the month of March. These events are open forums, and the public is welcome to attend with any questions or concerns.
"If anyone wants to discuss Senate Bill 5 I would be happy to discuss it," Rosenberger said.
One of the town hall meetings will be held Friday, March 11 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Highland County Administration Building, 119 Governor Foraker Place, Hillsboro, 45133.[[In-content Ad]]
