Portman welcomes delay of Medical Device Tax

U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) released a statement that he welcomes the delay of the Medical Device Tax in the tax extenders package.
 
“Ohio is home to many medical device companies and this tax continues to threaten good-paying manufacturing jobs,” Portman said. “I’m pleased this legislation addresses this issue and will continue to push for a long-term solution to protect these Ohio jobs.”
 

[[In-content Ad]]Portman, along with a bipartisan group of Senators, introduced the Medical Device Access and Innovation Protection Act earlier this year. This bill will repeal the medical device tax that was implemented as a part of Obamacare.
