Portman issues statement on Belgium terrorist attacks

Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) issued the following statement on the terrorist attacks in Belgium this morning:
 
“Today’s horrific and cowardly attacks are yet another reminder that we must confront the grave threat radical Islam poses to our security and way of life. In order to defeat our terrorist enemies, whether they be ISIL, al Qaeda, or their affiliated partners, America must lead. That should begin with a comprehensive strategy to take on and defeat those who seek to do us harm. We must strengthen our resolve to lead this effort, help our allies, and defend our people.

“Jane and I send our condolences to the victims, their families, and all the people of Belgium.”
