Lead Summary
By
Brian Cummings-

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, between the goat and hog sale at the Highland County Fair, Highland County FFA chapters will be auctioning an International pedal tractor signed by Greg “Machinery Pete” Peterson.

In January, tractors were donated by Five Points Implement Co.; Steve Thompson of Thompson Funeral Services and Sue Davis of Preferred Midwest Title/Davis Law Office; and Bane-Welker Equipment. The tractors were signed by Machinery Pete at the Chamber of Commerce event “Ag Is Everyone’s Business.”

The International tractor was auctioned off by Rick Williams and was purchased by Bane-Welker Equipment, who donated it to the five local FFA chapters in Highland County.

The Hillsboro, McClain, Mowrystown, Lynchburg and Fairfield FFA chapters have donated the pedal tractor to benefit the Junior Fair program.

Following the goat sale Wednesday night during the fair, the pedal tractor will be up for auction. The money generated from the sale of the pedal tractor will support the Junior Fair.
