OSHP investigating fatal crash in Clinton County

The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle traffic crash that resulted in one death.

The crash occurred on Saturday, April 8 at approximately 10:44 a.m. on Antioch Road near Scissorville Road in Clinton County.

Preliminary investigation shows that Edford Parker, 72, of Greenfield, was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado westbound on Antioch Road. Zachary Basford, 26, was traveling eastbound on Antioch Road. Basford turned left into the path of Parker’s vehicle. Both vehicles traveled off the north side of the roadway. Parker's vehicle overturned and struck a parked motor vehicle.

Parker was flown to Miami Valley Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The Highway Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Clinton - Highland Joint Fire and EMS, Leesburg EMS and CareFlight.
