A crowd of nearly 300 community members gathered at the Mowrystown Cemetery for the annual Memorial Day program.

The service began with the pledge to the flag, which was led by the Concord Junior Farmers 4-H club. Linda Roush led in the singing of the national anthem, and the Whiteoak High School band played patriotic songs.

Alex Butler was the speaker for the Memorial Day service and gave a patriotic and inspiring message.

Thanks to Kraig Walker, the Highland County Honor Guard and the American Legion Roy W. Wilson Post for their participation in the program.
