Mowrystown FFA receives $2,500

The Mowrystown FFA Chapter was awarded a $2,500 check from America’s Farmers Grow Communities Program through Monsanto. John Gillespie, of Highland County, was selected as one of 52 farmers across Ohio to win the America’s Farmers Grow Communities Award through the Monsanto Fund. Gillespie is a former member of Mowrystown FFA and directed that the chapter receive the money. 
John Gillespie and Rick Emery, representative of Monsanto, came to Whiteoak High School to present the chapter with the $2,500. The chapter will use this money to help pay for the National Convention bus expense and to renovate the greenhouse.  Thank you to Mr. Gillespie for recommending Mowrystown FFA for this award.
