Mount Orab official arrested on voyeurism, child porn charges in Florida
The Mount Orab village chief financial officer was charged with over a thousand counts related to alleged voyeurism and child pornography in Florida, according to reports from Fox 19 and the Hillsborough County, Fla. Sheriff’s Office.
Michael Boyd, 67, of Lithia, Fla. was arrested May 19. According to Fox 19 and other reports, at the time of his arrest, Boyd was serving as Mt. Orab’s chief financial officer. Fox 19 reports that he has been "suspended" by the village. Boyd is still listed on the village's website as of this article's posting.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff, Boyd has been charged with 1,015 counts of digital voyeurism and 100 counts of possession of child pornography.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff said of the allegations, “A man is in jail after HCSO detectives discovered thousands of files of voyeurism and child pornography on devices belonging to him.
“On May 19, detectives served a search warrant at a home in Lithia, which led to the discovery of numerous devices belonging to Michael Boyd, 67. Detectives found more than 1,000 files containing voyeurism and more than 100 files of child pornography after determining Boyd had installed hidden cameras in private areas of the residence.”
