Mount Orab man indicted on 54 counts
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that a Mount Orab man has been indicted on 54 counts related to alleged child pornography.
On March 27, Daniel Wright, 43, was indicted by a Brown County grand jury on the following charges:
• 27 counts of illegal use of minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, a second-degree felony; and
• 27 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, a fourth-degree felony.
This case began after the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force (ICAC) forwarded a tip involving possible child pornography to the Investigations Section of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
After an investigation into the information provided by ICAC, a search warrant was served March 7 on Moon Road in Mount Orab. Wright was taken into custody at that time.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Mount Orab Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
An indictment is merely a charge and is not evidence of guilt.
