The Ohio Hospital Association has announced that Misty Campbell of Highland District Hospital has been nominated for Health Care Worker of the Year.
Campbell is in charge of the mammography department as a co-coordinator. Because of her 22 years of health care experience, Campbell is often placed in charge in the radiology manager's absence.
She was placed in charge of the mammography department more than 10 years ago and has done a phenomenal job.
Campbell is a mentor for Shawnee State University students as well as any new staff member.
Campbell's reputation in the world of mammography is well known and other facilities often call on her for help with accreditation issues. She is a great leader and goes beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. She is exemplifies a true community supporter by the numerous outreach programs that she unselfishly volunteers for each year.
Campbell is truly an asset to Highland District Hospital and HDH is appreciative of her service.
