Today, T-Mobile announced the four Division Champions advancing to the final round of its Friday Night 5G Lights competition.
Competing against some of the nation's most spirited high schools, McClain High School in Greenfield finished second in the Midwest Division, receiving more than 314,000 votes throughout the competition.
Although the school's journey has come to an end this year, its participation highlights the community pride and school spirit at the heart of the contest.
Menasha High School (Menasha, Wis.) won the Midwest Division. Following the devastating tornado that destroyed Calder Stadium this past July, the Menasha Bluejays are fighting to bring Friday night lights back to a community that needs them now more than ever. Rebuilding their field isn’t just about football, it’s about restoring a sense of normalcy and home. Calder Stadium will prove that no matter what hits it, Menasha rebuilds as one.
