Man flown to Miami Valley Hospital after Concord Road ATV accident

At approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, a single ATV accident occurred in the 3800 block of Concord Road in New Market Township.

According to a witness, the ATV was traveling on the southbound side of the road when the male driver lost control of the vehicle throwing him off the ATV. He apparently struck his head on the pavement.

Responding to the scene were Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District and Highland County sheriff’s deputies. Upon arrival, first responders called for Miami Valley Care Flight – which responded in spite of poor weather conditions.

The injured man was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

The accident is under investigation by the Highland County Sheriff's Office.
