The public is invited to meet a very special guest on the evening of Monday, June 4 at 6 p.m. at the Lynchburg Branch Library.

Living historian Emily Knisley will be taking on the persona of Nellie Bly, an American journalist who became famous for her daring exposes and her record trip around the world during the winter of 1889-90.

Miss Knisley is the daughter of Jason and Laura Knisley, and a long-time volunteer at the Lynchburg Branch Library.

Her 4-H club, Highland County Shooting Sports, offers living history (the live interpretation of historical people and events) as one of its many disciplines. Please contact the library at 937-364-2511 for more information.
