Lesia Langston-McKenna inducted into Greater Cincinnati Healers Hall of Fame
Hillsboro dentist Dr. Lesia Langston-McKenna was recently honored for her service to children in the community.
Inductions for the Greater Cincinnati Healers Hall of Fame took place on Saturday, March 7, during the third annual fundraising gala of Primary Health Solutions at the Cincinnati Marriott North.
“Somewhere Over the Rainbow” was the theme of the gala, as a salute to children’s health.
The 2015 Hall of Fame inductions featured doctors who specialize in healing underserved children. Inductees included: Dr. Lesia Langston-McKenna, Dr. Camille Graham, Dr. Phillip Lichtenstein, Dr. Jerry McDaniel and Dr. Ajay Ponkshe. Inductees will be featured in a permanent exhibit at the Middletown Health Center.
“We are very proud to honor these extraordinary physicians who exemplify the spirit of the Hippocratic oath. They have dedicated their careers to providing health and dental care to underserved children,” said Marc Bellisario, CEO, Primary Health Solutions.
According to her website, Dr. Langston-McKenna is a 1984 graduate of the University of Louisville College of Dentistry. She has practiced for over 25 years in Hillsboro. Dr. Langston-McKenna and her husband, Judge David McKenna, live in Hillsboro and have two children, William and Alexandria McKenna.

Other highlights of the gala included:
• The Ascension Awards, presented to Women Who Have Ascended to Higher Heights in Healthcare: Tracy Davidson, President, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio, and Pam Jacques, Executive Director/CEO, Premier Community Health.
• Entertainment was provided by the Lakota West Jazz Combo and the Fairfield High School Symphony Orchestra.
• State Representative Margaret Conditt presented proclamations from the Ohio House of Representatives to the honorees, acknowledging each as “One of Ohio’s Finest Citizens.”
• Hamilton Mayor Pat Moeller and City Manager Joshua Smith, along with Middletown Mayor Larry Mulligan, Jr. and City Manager Doug Adkins, served as honorary chairs.
Proceeds from the gala will be used to provide on-site dental care to children at Butler County Schools during normal school hours, via a mobile dental office.
"This service helps improve student attendance and academic performance and keeps parents from missing work for dental appointments for their children,” Bellisario said. “Primary Health Solutions is committed to improving overall health in Butler County. We are a nonprofit, federally-qualified community health center providing comprehensive health care to more than 19,000 patients, regardless of their income or insurance coverage.”
