Leesburg Luminaria court honored

The sixth-grade royal court members were recognized at the 2015 Leesburg Luminaria on Sunday, Dec. 13.

The winners were chosen for their prize essays on “What the Luminaria means to me,” judged anonymously by senior English classes.

In front, from left are King Xavier Richards, Queen McKenna Colwell, Prince Brandon Zimmerman and Princess Isabella Warner. In back, are the Leesburg Lions Club officers who organize the yearly event to promote the international Lions Clubs’ cause to cure blindness and other sight problems: Ken Woleab, Leesburg Lions president; Charles Newland, District 13 governor; and Gary Defayette, first vice district governor.
