The Highland County Historical Society will hold their semi-annual Tour of Historic Homes and Buildings on Sunday, Sept. 28, from noon-5 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Warren Furniture and the Highland House Museum. The price for an adult ticket is $15 and a child’s ticket is $10.

The event has been organized by Jennifer Jenkins, Brenda Thompson and Carolyn Kellis.

The Highland House Museum, Bell’s Opera House and Prospect Church will be featured as the historic buildings.

The homes highlighted for the 2025 tour will be Dave and Judy Hamilton’s beautiful farmhouse, N. Bruce Bear’s colonial home, Dr. Phil and Kati Burwinkel’s Franklin House Airbnb, Chris and Whitney Gobin’s historic home, Ez and Lynn Housh’s lovely home and Highland County’s newest event venue, Ivory Grande Event Center.

A very special thanks to Warren Furniture, RSR Photography and John and Andrea Holt at Ponderosa for their assistance and valuable contribution to the home tour.

Proceeds from the tour will be used for maintenance and operation of the Historical Society’s holdings.
