MONTGOMERY COUNTY - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is currently looking for a vehicle that could be related to a Sunday shooting that left a Hillsboro man dead.
The Dayton Daily news is reporting that no warrants have been issued, but that "Authorities have issued an area-wide alert for a bronze 2006 Monte Carlo SS and its 20-year-old driver as a person deputies wish to speak to about Sunday’s slaying in Harrison Township (in Montgomery County."
Maj. Dave Hale of the MCSO told The Dayton Daily News that deputies "want to hear what Tyler Hamilton might have to say about the slaying of Robert Travis Miller.
"Miller, 19, of Hillsboro was shot at least three times in the 2600 block of Falmouth Avenue. Deputies believe Miller was in a vehicle with a 20-year-old woman, also from Hillsboro," the newspaper reported. "The pair had parked on Falmouth and were approached by at least one man who was in another vehicle. Miller got out of the car, a disagreement arose, the man pulled a handgun and shot Miller. The woman helped Miller back into their car and drove to the Popeyes restaurant on Salem Avenue, as the shooter fled in a car matching the description of the Monte Carlo. Miller was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:01 p.m. Sunday, according to Hale."
Anyone with information should is asked to contact the Regional Dispatch Center at (937) 225-4357.
