Husted sets ballot order, Ballot Board approves language for 2015 General Election issues

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Ballot Board has approved ballot language for the three statewide issues that will appear before voters during the General Election to be held on November 3, 2015.
Secretary of State Jon Husted also exercised his authority, pursuant to Section 3505.06 of the Ohio Revised Code, to determine the order the three issues will appear on the statewide ballot.

In accordance with both Article XVI of the Ohio Constitution and Section 3505.062 of the Ohio Revised Code, the panel also directed the means by which the Secretary of State will disseminate information concerning the proposed constitutional amendment to the voters and directed the Secretary of State’s office to contract for the publication of the ballot language, explanation and arguments for the amendments in a newspaper of general circulation in each county of the state.
Pursuant to Section 3501.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, Secretary Husted will release the titles of the three issues at a later date.
Secretary Husted serves as the Chairman of the Ballot Board in his official capacity as the Ohio Secretary of State. Other members include Ohio Senate President Keith Faber, State Representative Kathleen Clyde, former State Senator Nina Turner and Mr. William Morgan.
