Press Release-

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted released the following statement Wednesday on the passage of House Bill 359 by the Ohio House of Representatives.

Secretary Husted called on the legislature to introduce this bill in October and recently authored a guest column for the Cincinnati Enquirer on the initiative, known as “Safe at Home.”

[[In-content Ad]]“It is unnecessary that today in America, there are people who have to choose between their personal liberties and their personal safety,” Husted said. “We know there are those in Ohio who, out of fear for their well-being, choose to not register to vote and participate in our democracy, but we have the opportunity to change that. I applaud the House for joining me today in standing with these survivors.”
