HPD investigates shooting at hotel

The Hillsboro Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that took place Saturday at the Paragon Inn in Hillsboro.

 

The HPD responded to the hotel in the 800 block of West Main Street Saturday at approximately 1:56 p.m. 

 

Upon arrival officers found one individual who had sustained what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot to the foot. 

 

The individual was identified as Shane M. Rhoads, 24, whose permanent address was listed as the Paragon Inn. 

 

He was transported by Hillsboro Fire and Rescue to Highland District Hospital, and he was later transfered to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. 

 

The incident remains under investigation by the Hillsboro Police Department.
