The Hillsboro Police Department and Adult Parole Authority have arrested one suspect and continue to search for a second suspect, following a Friday Aug. 19 investigation.

According to a report from the HPD, Jessica Taylor, 29, of Hillsboro has been jailed on felony charges of tampering with evidence, vandalism and possession of a drug instrument. Taylor also had a parole violation and warrant from Clermont County, the HPD said.

Police and the APA conducted an investigation Friday evening at a Taylor Drive apartment complex. While at the complex, police said Taylor and one male suspect attempted to flee through the building's attic space. The male suspect broke through the ceiling of an occupied apartment and ran through the front door, eluding officers.

Taylor fell through the ceiling, causing debris to strike an officer. There were no injuries reported.

Taylor is scheduled to appear in Hillsboro Municipal Court on Aug. 22.

Anyone with information on the male suspect may call the HPD at 393-3411.[[In-content Ad]]
