The Highland County YMCA is collaborating with the Hillsboro Rotary Club for the 2025 Chili Challenge Cookoff, which is part of the fundraising for the 53rd annual Ernie Blankenship Memorial Radio-Telethon.

The event will take place Tuesday, March 11 at the YMCA, 201 Diamond Drive in Hillsboro, during the Hillsboro Rotary Club’s weekly meeting, which will take place in the meeting room at the YMCA starting at 11:30 a.m.

Local cooks and food lovers are invited to enter their chili in either the mild or hot category. To sign up, contact the Highland County YMCA by telephone at (937) 840-9622 or by email at dvance@cincinnatiymca.org or jwaterman@myy.org. Entries will be judged by the members of the Hillsboro Rotary Club and the YMCA.

The recipes of the first-place winners in each category will be used for the annual Chili Supper held by the Hillsboro Rotary Club, which will be held March 18 at the Hillsboro VFW on East Main Street in Hillsboro from 5-7 p.m. The event will include the always popular and fun dessert auction, conducted by Rotarian Rick Williams.

The proceeds of the Chili Supper and Dessert Auction will be donated to the 53rd annual Ernie Blankenship Memorial Radio-Telethon.
