Hillsboro Police Report
These incidents have been reported by the HPD.
On Jan. 21 at 6:15 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call for a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of East Walnut Street. Officers responded and took a report while a BOLO was sent to surrounding agencies. The vehicle was later located by the Adam's County Sheriff's Department. A vehicle pursuit was initiated due to the vehicle driver not stopping for law enforcement. The vehicle later crashed, the driver and passenger were taken into custody by the Adam's County Sheriff's Department.
On Jan. 21, the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the 100 block of Crestwood Drive in Hillsboro in reference to a male subject entering into the home through a window. It was found that the male was not to be there and snuck in through a rear bedroom window while residents were present in the home. Officers located the man hiding under clothing in an attached garage.
The male was identified as Thaddeus Hunt, 20 of Chillicothe. Hunt was arrested and transported to the Highland County Jail. Hunt was charged with Ohio Revised Code 2911.12 burglary, a felony of the fourth degree and 2903.13 Assault, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
