October 3
Joshua Miner, 31, of Hillsboro was cited for speed.
William D. Morris, 50, of Hillsboro was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
October 4
Katherine Knechtly, 49, of Hillsboro was cited for disorderly conduct.
On October 2 at approximately 8:39 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of a 2-car crash in the 100 block of North High Street. Upon arrival, Jordan Depaso, 40, of Hillsboro was parked in a parking spot while Keshia Haylip, 36, of Hillsboro was traveling southbound on N. High St. Depaso began backing out of the parking spot and struck Hayslip. No injuries were reported on scene. Depaso was cited for improper backing.
On October 3 at 2:54 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a 2-car crash on West Main Street at Elm Street. Upon arrival, Donald Routt, 44, of Hillsboro was making a left turn onto W. Main St. from N. Elm St. as directed by a green light. Arthur Cordy, 82, of Martinsville was traveling on W. Main St. and ran the red light causing him to strike Routt on the driver side door. Minor injuries were reported on scene. Cordy was cited for fail to obey traffic control device.
On October 4 at 11:05 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of a 3-car crash on North High Street near the intersection of North Street. Upon arrival, Luken Roades, 20, of Sardinia was traveling southbound on N. High St. approaching the intersection of North St. William Cooper, 35, of Sardinia and Cortney Shannon, 35, of Hillsboro were both stopped on N High St at the intersection of North St for traffic. Roades failed to stop prior to striking Cooper, causing Cooper to strike Shannon. Minor injuries were reported on scene. Roades was issued a citation for assured clear distance ahead.
