Hillsboro man indicted for alleged rape of co-worker

Hillsboro resident Newman Paul Powih has been indicted in Brown County for the alleged rape of a co-worker.

Wendy Mitchell reports for the Maysville Ledger Independent that according to Brown County Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger, on June 1, a three-count indictment was handed down against Newman Paul Powih.

“On May 21 Powih was arrested on a charge of first-degree rape of a co-worker at Locust Ridge Nursing Home. He was arraigned May 23 in Brown County Municipal Court where a $100,000 bond was set,” Mitchell reports this week.
