Hillsboro man arrested on meth-related charges

    The Hillsboro Police Department is investigating a meth lab found in a truck in the 700 block of North West Street Sunday, Oct. 17.
   A news release from the HPD said police officers and sheriff's deputies investigated the lab at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday, while trying to apprehend a suspect at a North West Street residence. The suspect was not located.
   An open burn violation was observed, the HPD said, and Kevin Morris, 32, was arrested for that violation. A container of methamphetamine was found on Morris, the HPD said. Charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were added against Morris, according to a police report.
   Additional HPD and HCSO officers were called to the scene, as was the Drug Enforcement Agency.
   A report will be presented to the Highland County Prosecutor's Office for possible grand jury consideration, the HPD said.
