Hillsboro council meets in executive session with county commissioner

The Hillsboro City Council met in executive session for approximately one hour with the president of the Highland County Board of Commissioners Thursday night to discuss security and property.
All council members were present during the special meeting called by council president Lee Koogler except for David Shoemaker, who is out of town, and his absence was excused.
In addition to council members, Mayor Dick Zink and Safety and Service Director Ralph Holt, council asked that city administrative assistant Kirby Ellison join them in the session, along with Commissioner Shane Wilkin.
Council voted to go into executive session just after 5:30 p.m. and they voted to go back regular session at 6:35.
There were no action following council's return to regular session, and the meeting was adjourned.
Koogler said that at this point in time council is not anticipated to meet prior to its regularly scheduled meeting March 14.
