Highland County Sheriff's Report; Mowrystown man charged

A deputy responded to N. Main Street in Mowrystown after a report of a male acting suspiciously.
While patroling the area, the deputy saw a male who matched the description of the suspect. The deputy made an attempt to speak with the suspect until the suspect fled on foot tossing what was later identified as a knife.
The suspect ran to a nearby residence. The deputy went to the residence and was met by a female who identified herself as the homeowner and mother of the suspect. The homeowner unlocked the residence and permitted the deputy to enter to continue speaking to the suspect who was identified as Gary R. Resibois, 45, of Mowrystown.
While speaking to Resibois, he became aggressive and disregarded the deputy’s commands to comply, forcing the deputy to deploy his taser to subdue the suspect.
Resibois was charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business.
A resident of the 2700 block of Edwards Road reported a juvenile was being unruly. After investigation, the juvenile was charged with obstructing official business and was transported to juvenile detention.
