Highland County Sheriff's Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.

Jan. 9
 
A resident of the200 block of Broadway Street, Lynchburg, reported a vehicle taken without permission. After investigation, Dylan M. Harner, 28, of Leesburg, was charged with unauthorized use.

Deputies responded to the 6600 block of Golden Doubloon Dr. after a report of a domestic disturbance. After investigation, Justin A. Branscomb, 36, of Hillsboro, was charged with two counts of domestic violence.

A deputy responded to the 1300 block of Sicily Road, after a report of a prowler. This incident remains under investigation.

A resident of the 11000 block of Elmhurst Trail, reported a juvenile was assaulted. After investigation, charges are pending for a Hillsboro juvenile.

Jan. 10

A resident of the 6200 block of Millers Chapel Road reported a domestic disturbance. After investigation, parties had separated and no charges were issued.

Arrests/Citations

Christopher L. Whaley, 42, of Hillsboro, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

James C. Welte Jr., 25, of Leesburg, speeding.

Bobbie L. Saxon, 39, of West Union, failure to appear.

Austin A. Chisman, 28, of Sardinia, OVI, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle.
