According to a report in The Columbus Dispatch today, "an inmate is back in custody after he walked away from a work crew near the Ross Correctional Institution outside Chillicothe Monday morning and prompted a school lockdown." Mary Beth Lane reported in the Dispatch that "Jeffrey Ryan Holsinger, 24, was working on the prison farm when he fled about 10:30 a.m. Monday. A county sheriff's deputy, acting on a tip from a resident who spotted the inmate, arrested him at 2:35 p.m. near Frankfort, and took him into custody without incident." Holsinger is serving a one-year sentence from Highland County for receiving stolen property and was scheduled for release on Nov. 20 and is likely to be charged with escape, the Dispatch said. The incident remains under investigation.[[In-content Ad]]
