U.S. Congressional candidate for Ohio’s 2nd District David Taylor was the featured speaker at Highland County’s Republican Family Picnic, which was held Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Back Room Paradise event center on Miller Lane.
A large crowd of 138 people was in attendance to hear from Taylor as he spoke about the needs of those living in the district, including health care, jobs, broadband and infrastructure.
State Senator Shane Wilkin and State Representative Bob Peterson each spoke, asking for a “no” vote on Issue One on the ballot Nov. 5.
Delicious picnic fare was prepared and served by Richard Warner, followed by a lively auction of homemade desserts with Paul Worley serving as auctioneer.
