Highland County Democratic Party welcomes Frances Strickland

The Highland County Democratic Party held its annual picnic Sunday, Aug. 2 at the AmVets Park, 11541 North Shore Drive, Hillsboro.

Former first lady Frances Strickland was the featured speaker for the event. She is the wife of 2016 U.S. Senate candidate and former governor and congressman Ted Strickland.

The party also featured mayoral candidate for the city of Hillsboro, Pamela Limes, just-announced candidates for mayor Freddie Snyder (Leesburg) and Bonnie Parr (Mowrystown).

Other Democratic Party candidates for office also were recognized at the annual picnic.
